About Blaise

“You love French Style? So do I.
My passion is decoration. I would love to help you achieving your interior design dream.”

A native of Paris, France, there he spent his early career in the hotel industry.

Former 1992 France’s Youngest Hôtelier, he also earned several culinary certificates in French cooking & baking at the Ecole Ritz Escoffier Paris.

Growing up, he was drawn towards French interior design, skills that he learned from his aunt, a talented decorator.
He always wanted to share the Art of French Living with people.

Attracted by the American entrepreneurial spirit and deeply passionate about bringing the Art of French Living to the United States, he moved to Bellevue, WA.

In 1996, he combined his Business School diploma and his passion for French interiors to create the boutique showroom, Maison de France, which features authentic imported French home furnishings and offers interior design services.

From conception to realization, Blaise is with you at all the steps.

Since Maison de France opened in 1996, Blaise Bouchand has helped with the decoration of more than 500 homes.

Many clients were extremely satisfied in Maison de France, and we have often exceeded their expectations.

Here are a few of the many testimonials we received from our clients:

We have acquired some beautiful items from Maison de France. We appreciate them on a regular basis!

Blaise Bouchand, the founder, did a staging in a house in Bellevue and went over the top to stage the home for sale. In this market, it is very rare that a house sells for the asking price within a couple days of it being listed for sale. Blaise’s attention to detail and outstanding design work made this happen! I will recommend him to all of my clients who wants to get top dollar for their homes!

The brightness, clarity and class and innovation you have chosen for your store are wonderful – such a treat.

A superb dinner in every way and very much enjoyed by all

Beyond our traditional services, we also help clients get ready for special dinners, and decorate tables or provide lessons on the art of creating the perfect French table.
We prepare wedding lists and decorate wedding parties.

If most of our customers are residential clients, Maison de France also has commercial clients.
